Filming, Photography & Social Media PolicyÂ
At Tru, we love showcasing our community, celebrating member achievements, and sharing the positive environment we've created through photos and videos.
We are committed to balancing our marketing activities with every member's right to privacy, comfort, and safety while using our facility.
Purpose
This policy outlines the guidelines for photography and video recording within Tru The Real You to ensure all members feel respected and comfortable while training.
Member Filming
Members are welcome to take photos and videos of themselves during their workouts provided that:
Â
-
The focus remains on themselves and their workout.
-
Other members are not intentionally filmed without permission.
-
Filming does not disrupt, distract, or inconvenience other members.
-
Equipment such as tripods, lights, or cameras do not create safety hazards or obstruct walkways or equipment.
-
Staff instructions regarding filming are followed at all times.
Filming of Other Members
Members must not intentionally record, photograph, or publish images or videos of other members without their consent. Any member who feels uncomfortable being filmed should notify a staff member immediately.

-

Â
When filming is taking place, staff will make reasonable efforts to notify members present.
Member Opt-Out Option
We understand that not everyone wishes to appear in photos or videos. Members who do not wish to be included in Tru marketing content may notify reception at any time and request to be added to our "Do Not Film" register. Tru will take all reasonable steps to avoid filming or publishing images of members who have opted out.
While every effort will be made to respect these requests, incidental appearances in the background of photos or videos cannot always be completely avoided.
Privacy & Respect
The comfort and wellbeing of our members is a priority. Harassment, intimidation, or the deliberate filming of another member without consent may result in a warning, suspension, or termination of membership at the discretion of management.
Staff Authority
Tru staff reserve the right to ask any person to stop filming, photographing, or recording if the activity is:
-
Affecting another member's experience.
-
Creating a safety risk.
-
Breaching this policy.
-
Inconsistent with the values and culture of Tru.
